Andrea Sebastianelli
Andrea Sebastianelli (Vasto, 1992) vive a Rotterdam dove lavora come freelance product designer. Si laurea presso l’ISIA di Pescara durante il quale prende parte all’exchange program presso la Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design di Budapest. Conclude il percorso di studi con il Master nella Libera Università di Bolzano.
La sua pratica mira ad una consapevole trasformazione della materia e al coinvolgimento del lavoro artigianale attraverso un approccio sistemico. Attraverso i suoi progetti non pone solo l’attenzione sulla qualità finale del prodotto ma sull’intero processo produttivo.
I suoi lavori sono stati presentati in gallerie ed esposizioni internazionali tra cui: Biblioteca Umanistica dell’Incoronata, Museo del Tessuto di Prato, MAD Bruxelles, The Strzemiński Academy of Art in Łódź.
Collabora come progettista con il Museo del Tessuto di Prato, lo studio TheNewRaw e la storica azienda Arco.
Andrea Sebastianelli (Vasto, 1992) lives in Rotterdam where he works as a freelance product designer. He got his Bachelor’s degree from ISIA of Pescara, where he attended an exchange program at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design of Budapest. He also got a Master degree from the Free University of Bozen.
With his practice, he aims at a deep understanding of materials and at the engagement of the craftsmen work, through a systemic approach. Through his projects, he not only focuses on the quality of the final product but on the entire production process.
His work has been displayed in international galleries and expositions: Biblioteca Umanistica dell’Incoronata, Museo del Tessuto di Prato, MAD Bruxelles, The Strzemiński Academy of Art in Łódź.
He works as a designer for Museo del Tessuto di Prato, TheNewRaw and the historical design company Arco.
