Giulia Tomasello

Giulia Tomasello (1990, Italia) è una interaction designer che combina biotecnologia e wearable technology per rompere i tabù sui corpi delle donne*. 

Vincitrice nel 2018 dello STARTS Prize, premio assegnato ai progetti che rappresentano “alleanze innovative tra tecnologia e pratiche artistiche”, il suo lavoro multidisciplinare ha ricevuto anche altri riconoscimenti a livello europeo e internazionale, tra cui il World Omosiroi Japanese Award 2020. 
 
Giulia è attualmente visiting lecturer presso università italiane e europee e porta avanti il suo impegno educativo con Coded Bodies, piattaforma progettata per apprendere le basi dei soft wearables e l’esplorazione dei tessuti biologici.

In 2018 she wins the STARTS Prize, assigned to projects representing “innovative alliances between technology and artistic practices”. Her multidisciplinary work has also received other awards at European and international level such as the World Omosiroi Japanese Award 2020.
 
Giulia is currently a visiting lecturer at various Italian and European universities and she continues her educational commitment with Coded Bodies, a platform designed to learn the basics of soft wearables and to explore biological tissues.
